4 Benefits of CBD Backed by Science
We’re here to help separate the truth from the lies by explaining four of the big benefits of CBD which have been backed and proven by scientific research and studies.

CBD and Epilepsy
In 2013 Charlotte Figi changed the discourse on medical marijuana and CBD forever. Charlotte was born in 2006 and suffered from a severe case of Dravet syndrome, a form of epilepsy. At one point she was suffering from around 1,200 seizures a month, making her quality of life almost unbearable. Her parents were beginning to despair for the wellbeing of their daughter when they eventually decided to try medical marijuana - after trying all other available options. This was so effective that her treat seizures dropped to three times a month, allowing much more normal life and childhood. A special strain was created which was high in CBD (which was the effective component) and extremely low in THC (meaning it could not induce a high) - this is called Charlotte’s Web.

I Tried CBD and It didn't Work
Praise for CBD could not be louder nowadays. And after hearing about the wide-reaching benefits the plant-based extract could bring to your body and mind, you couldn’t wait to try it out for yourself.
But what if, after all the hype and suspense you feel … well, nothing?

However, there are a few reasons that you may feel like CBD has no effect on you.

CBD for Sleep and Insomnia
Not sleeping well will drastically lower the quality of your everyday life. Being tired and not properly restored will affect you both mentally, and physically; making you groggy and frustrated and lacking energy. For years researchers have been studying how cannabis could improve sleep quality, but primarily focussing on the cannabinoid THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). Now, attention has been turned to a different phytocannabinoid, CBD (cannabidiol) which carries a large number of therapeutic benefits without the psychoactive effects of THC.
